Last weekend in Tokyo, Sony unveiled its new eco-friendly “odo” line powered solely from good old fashioned human-made power. For instance, the odo Digital Camera is powered by putting your fingers in the viewfinder holes and spinning it until it’s ready to take your picture. (via core77)

Six years from now when the iPod was launched, not many believed in the success of this device. This can be seen clearly in this thread on macrumours that started after the announcement of the iPod.
I still can’t believe this! All this hype for something so ridiculous! Who cares about an MP3 player? I want something new! I want them to think differently!
Why oh why would they do this?! It’s so wrong! It’s so stupid!

These USB stick kinda devices from QiGO are meant to carry a unique key that allows the user to access specific content on the internet. For example a buyer of a new CD could access bonus material such as photos and videos on the web. Besides it helps the record company keeping track on their customers. The device is a lot cheaper than a normal USB stick.

The above is my name written in “Self portrait as a font”. Paul Chan designed fonts that express more than simple letters and maybe more than you want them to say.
“What is it like to write like me? You don’t even know me. Lowercase letters are phrases I think I say in conversations. Uppercase letters are parenthetical comments based on what I think I say in conversations and common mistakes I make when writing. Numbers are names of friends, family, and former lovers. James D. Watson, who helped crack the DNA code half a century ago, last week became the first person handed the full text of his own DNA on a small computer disk. But he won ’t be the last.
