Apples are for the birds
Monday, May 21st, 2007The Piccadilly Park in the Australian state of New South Wales has found a smart and eco-friendly approach to house the wide variety of birds that live in that area. Farmer Rex Harris uses casings of the classic Macintosh computer introduced in 1984 to build birdhouses.
“The old Macs are perfect for nesting boxes with ventilation slots along the front, rear, and under the hand space where you lift them,” Harris says. “We tried the original iMacs, but they are too big and get too hot.”
